An ex-voto is a votive offering to a saint or a divinity, given in fulfillment of a vow (hence the Latin term, short for ex voto suscepto, "from the vow made") or in gratitude or devotion.

* Gorgeous ex-voto heart locket comes together on this lovely Czech gray glass in two different forms - barrel and rondelle.  I've strung the beads on heavy duty wire and secured the necklace with a gold lobster clasp.  The locket is so sweet and can hold a little love note <3
